1⁄35M107 in Vietnam

Mobile artillery seems to be the flavour of the month at the moment and this offering by Doan Thanh Hieu is a great example of the type. This offering is the Italeri offering of the M107 in a Vietnam War period finish. As you may suspect this has not been built straight from the box as Spade ACE tracks and a metal barrel have been added to the model, and of course some scratch work has been done to really bring it to life. I particularly like the paint work done on this model.

I assume the idea is that this piece of equipment was handed over to the South Vietnamese from the US during Vietnamization (hence the presence of both markings)? Very original idea, I love it.

Totally agree. Excellent work and the weathering is superb. Very subtle and quite realistic. Nicely done!

Hi Cairus, I'm FrancisGL from Britmodeller mate, from time to time I went through this website, I presented a model for the contest of the month, I think it was in August of last year, that it was a MERKAVA MK1 of Tamiya, and although it did not win, it was better situated than I imagined, and today for a long time I did not do it, I found myself by surprise with your great M-107, as I said before in BM, SUPERB !!!!.
