I just finished painting my predator figure and would like to put it in a jungle setting for my diorama. Can any of you please tell me what would be the best way to portray this type of setting? As for the figure itself, it is a multimedia kit that gives you the option of 4 different heads.
1. First head is without the helmet on and mouth wide open,no dreadlocks.
2. Second head is without the helmet on and the mouth is closed,no dreadlocks as well.
3. Third head is with the helmet on,no dreadlocks.
4. Forth head is with the helmet on and with battle damage,no dreadlocks as well.
The dreadlocks I was told were needed to be scratch built. Its a dilemma,because I like both the predator with the mouth open and the one with the helmet on,no battle damage.
So now I needed your opinions please which predator will best fit the jungle setting?

A few pics would be helpfull.

I guess it would depend on what kind of situation the character is in. Is it post battle, pre-battle? Is he on the hunt or "celebrating" victory? Or something interely different.

I'm inclined with Jesper.

The helmet gives the Predator an intense menace so if he is stalking or you wish for an understated affect then the helmet on is the your go.

No helmet is more open and thus, is a more emotional display of the Predator.

Consider the scenario and consider the affect and emotion you are trying to create.

HI I don't know if it's any help but I am working, ableit slowly on a similar project in a smaller scale.
I have taken two vinyl Kenner type 'Toy' action figurines, posed and locked the poses with superglue, filled the joints with epoxy putty and blended it in and primed the figures

As you will see from these poor phone cam pics I have posed the original Predator in an abseiling type pose and Arnie, as Dutch will be on the other side of the tree amongst the mangrove roots half in and out of the water.
The 'tree' is aquarium Bogroot screwed ino the base from below for a permanent fastening with a cantilevered constuction.
The rocks are chunks of cork painted in blacks and browns and the brown forest floor leaf litter is coir compost and pva glue.
The creepers and vines are copper wire with supergue dribbled down to stiffen it and moss used to give the appearance of epiphites and creepers.
I have so far punched 2,500 leaves from brown paper to use on the model and may yet illuminate the side of his helmet with fibre-optics.
