I took these pictures this morning when I was out for a walk with the dog. These are pictures of old railroad rails being used as retaining wall supports along the old foot path leading down into Kendrick Park here in Sheridan, WY. Some of them have obviously been there for a long time. The others I am not too sure about. Anyway when I was walking this morning I decided to take some pictures of them and share with everyone.

As the boys say on "Monty Python"......and now for something completely different......

Hi Randy,

Good, nice reference for diorama. I like specially the last one with holes. Thanks for sharing.

You're welcome Giovanni, I am glad you like the photographs. The railroad was a big part of Sheridan, Wyoming's development so there are little bits and pieces of the railroad around the area. There is an unused railroad spur where I work. I have no idea how long it has been since it was last used. Most people don't even know it is there.

Take care and thank you,
Randy

Yes, that last one with the holes for the rail joiners certainly confirms it was from a railroad. Thanks for sharing, HARV

You're welcome Ko and Sean. Glad that you like the pictures. There are other railroad related pictures that I need to go out and take. I am sure that everyone would like the subjects. I just need to get out there and do it!! Now that the weather is starting to turn cold here it would be a good time to go take them. I have a big phobia about ticks and the subjects I want to take pictures of are in weedy areas. So............no walking through there until the weather turns cold!!!!!

Thank you,
Randy
